Black Knights Get Past New York for 3-2 Win
The Black Knights had to overcome a fine effort from New York pitcher Mehmood Dar to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Blue Ivy Stadium. Dar went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was Tokaji Goto's in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Clemente Curry took the loss for New York. The losses continue to mount for New York, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

The Black Knights beat the Mafia with some clutch hitting. The single by Nobuhisa Ito in the bottom of the ninth is a good example. With two down, Ito gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"The want-to is there for our guys," said New York manager Roberto Campos. "We'll get this thing turned around."
