New Orleans center fielder Tom Burns was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Boise Bloodhounds. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for New Orleans. The Jedi Knights saw their win-loss record go to 91-67. At the same time, the Bloodhounds fell to 47-112.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Burns. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Jedi Knights were trailing 4-3, Burns delivered a two-out grand slam home run for New Orleans, giving his team the lead.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Burns told the New Orleans Chronicle.
