Though the conditions were not ideal, the Stroudsburg Shade and West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
In a tight battle between the Stroudsburg Shade and the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, pitcher Chris Burgess was in the zone. The Stroudsburg left-hander was named the player of the game in Stroudsburg's 3-1 win. Naoyuki Kikuchi notched his 5th save in 6 chances.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when pinch hitter Ivan Aragon drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Shade went on to win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Stroudsburg manager Juan Rivera said.
