Princes Beat Emeralds, 6-3
|
The Bel Air Princes topped the Eugene Emeralds, 6-3, with youngster Aaron Kelch playing a key role. Kelch was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Princes in the win. With the victory, the Princes record now stands at 61-94.
Danny Caro contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Bel Air to the win.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Princes manager Leland Austin. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
