St. Petersburg beat Barrow at The Blizzard Bowl, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Tim Beeman, who earned player of the game honors. He went 1-2 with 3 walks. He scored 3 times. The winner was Gabriel Mendoza in relief. His record improves to 4-6. Devon Labonte took the loss. St. Petersburg is now 57-98, while Barrow is 96-59.

Ismael Correa had a productive at-bat for the Pelicans with two out in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, the pinch hitter hit a 2-run single. The at-bat was important in the St. Petersburg win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Barrow manager Corey Conway. "The effort was great."
