Despite a great performance by Palm Beach left fielder Yoshimochi Takahashi, the Brisbane Bush Wackers defeated the Bums by the score of 11-5 at Baylor Ballpark. Takahashi was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Brisbane reliever Bobby Savoy was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Alex Antunez. Brisbane goes to 98-53. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

The Bush Wackers got a big boost from third baseman Jim Unknown who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning off Bums hurler Alex Antunez. It was his 2nd RBI of the season and put Brisbane on top, 6-5.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Unknown told the Brisbane Observer.
