Sutton, Jedi Knights Fall to Warriors
|
Jesse Sutton had a good game, but he could not keep the New Orleans Jedi Knights from falling, 8-7, to the Winfield Warriors at The Barn. The New Orleans third baseman went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 in the loss. With the win over New Orleans, the Warriors improved to 73-78.
Alex Moreno came up big for Winfield in a pressure situation. In the bottom of the eighth, the 19-year-old catcher hit a bases-clearing double, putting the Warriors on top, 6-5.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Moreno.
