Cabo San Lucas Bats Go Silent in 6-0 Loss
|
Cabo San Lucas had no answer for San Francisco Earthquakes starter Donkal Ubriani, who flummoxed Toreros hitters as the Earthquakes cruised to a 6-0 victory. Ubriani, the winner, moves to 2-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. With the win, the Earthquakes improved to 25-38.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Hisaji Maekawa drilled a 3-run home run to right. It put San Francisco ahead, 3-0. For the game, Maekawa was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"The most important thing is that we won," Maekawa said.
