Warriors Prevail, 3-1, Over Boise

Jason Loer pitched well, but his team, the Boise Bloodhounds, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Winfield Warriors at The Barn. Winfield reliever Oscar Rojas picked up the win to move to 5-2. Jason Loer suffered the loss. Emilio Peres earned the save for Winfield, his 3rd.
A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the fourth inning when the Warriors sent teenager Jose Rezendiz to the plate against Bloodhounds hurler Jason Loer. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch sinker to score 2.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Rezendiz.
Winfield now owns a record of 72-78.
