Black Squirrels Sink Emeralds, 5-2
The Tree City Black Squirrels trumped the Eugene Emeralds, 5-2, at Prefontaine Park. Tree City first baseman Ty Bedford was named player of the game for his performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tree City reliever Sixto Árias picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Roberto Delaluz absorbed the loss. Earning his 38th save for Tree City was Cory Kieck.

Flexing his muscles for Tree City was the aforementioned Bedford. The first baseman had a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth for the Black Squirrels. It put his team ahead, 5-1, and sent them on to victory.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Tree City manager James Lee. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The Black Squirrels own a robust 96-53 mark.
