Quebec Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
The Mile High Mustangs got a magnificent performance from pitcher James Jostle, who stifled the Quebec offense en route to a 1-0 Mustangs win at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Jostle picked up the win for Mile High, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Quan Que closed it out for his 2nd save.
Mile High grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the seventh when Eddy Jacobse hit a run-scoring single. For the day, Jacobse was 2-3 with 2 singles.
"The old adage is true," said Jostle. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
The Mustangs have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 6 games.
