The bats were silent much of the day at The Nut House. But Ian Cutter conjured up just enough offense to carry the Bush Wackers past the Tree City Black Squirrels, 3-0. Cutter went 1-4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win was Dario Reyes's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bob Galloway took the loss for Tree City. Brisbane leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 3½ games.

Cutter made an early impact for Brisbane when he stroked his 3rd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which came in the top of the third, put the Bush Wackers on top, 1-0.

"We didn't score," said losing manager James Lee. "That was the problem."
