Multi-HR Day for Weidlich as Princes Overpower Pelicans, 5-3

Billy Mathews Field was the site of a competitive game between the St. Petersburg Pelicans and Bel Air Princes.
Getting a good performance from second baseman Jonathan Weidlich, the Bel Air Princes defeated the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 5-3. Weidlich was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Princes. Bel Air reliever Tomohito Ihara picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-6. Ryokan Endo was collared with the loss.
In the top of the seventh inning, first baseman Aaron Kelch delivered a key hit for the Princes. With Bel Air leading 2-1, he ripped a 2-run home run.
"We did enough to win," said Weidlich.
Bel Air bumps their record to 57-88 with the win.
