In a low-scoring tilt between the Stroudsburg Shade and the Houston Sting, Tom Greer was the difference-maker. The Stroudsburg right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 win. A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the first inning when the Shade sent teenager Antonio Fandino to the plate against Sting hurler Bob Jarvis. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 2-1 fastball to score 1.

Greer said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
