Blue Claws Get Close Win Over Mustangs
Baltimore left-hander Jorge López made an effective start against the San Angelo Mustangs at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, leading his team to a 7-5 win. Baltimore reliever Michael Burman was the winner. His record is now 6-2. The losing pitcher was Al Hrabosky Jr.. Shu-de Tian closed the door for Baltimore, picking up his 18th save of the year.

Kaoru Katsumata helped out the Baltimore cause in the top of the ninth inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the second baseman was 2-5 with a double, while adding 4 RBI.

"Jorge's tempo and rhythm were good," said Blue Claws manager Bernard Jacq. "He was the key to us winning."

The second-place Blue Claws improved to 90-56.
