Saints Get Road Win, 8-4

The Houston Sting and St. Paul Saints brought some excitement to Woodland Park.
The St. Paul Saints picked up a win at Woodland Park, knocking off the Houston Sting, 8-4. Starting pitcher Gareth King played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was King, now 10-8. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7.
St. Paul took the lead in the top of the seventh on a big hit from Dong-woo Lee. On a 2-2 fastball from Jerry Hughes, Lee hit a 2-run double. That made it 4-2, Saints. For the day, Lee was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Gareth was pounding the zone," said St. Paul manager Ismael Rodríguez.
The 5th-place Saints improved to 64-80.
