Bloodhounds Come Back Late to Top Hornets
The Boise Bloodhounds knocked off the Bethesda Hornets, 6-5, at Hornets Field. Seisuke Fukushima, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Boise won. The designated hitter went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Boise reliever Justin Bolling got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Hiroshi Nagasawa was tagged with the loss. Even with the win, the Bloodhounds have a dismal 40-101 record.

The Bloodhounds took the lead in the top of the second when Victor Hernandez banged a two-out double. Boise had been trailing 1-0, but Hernandez hit a 0-1 splitter from Eugene Spencer for a 2-run double.

"We found a way to get it done," Fukushima said.
