Victory Over Bush Wackers Takes Victoria to 88-55
|
Right-hander Juan Cruz mesmerized the Brisbane Bush Wackers while leading the Victoria Vikings to a 4-0 victory. Victoria is now 88-55, 4˝ games up in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division.
The Vikings used some clutch hitting to beat the Bush Wackers, a good example being the at-bat of Germán Barrera in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, Barrera gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run double.
"First place," said Vikings manager Bernardo Moreno. "This is right where we want to be."
