The Bethesda Hornets took St. Paul pitcher Sergio Solis's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Saints Ballpark. The final score had Bethesda getting past the Saints, 3-2. Solis went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 7. Bethesda, at 72-70, occupies third place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Suezo Ine's at-bat in the top of the eighth was crucial. With two out, the Bethesda first baseman hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Bethesda manager Francisco Solano. "Our pregame was pretty good."
