The Kingwood Knights gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.

Despite a fine performance by left fielder Jose Chaves, the Bel Air Princes suffered a 6-5 loss to the Kingwood Knights. Chaves went 1-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. Kingwood reliever Nobuhiko Newton was credited with the win, to go to 5-4. Toru Saito took the loss for Bel Air.

In the bottom of the tenth inning of a 5-5 tie, Kingwood third baseman Paul Dannemiller hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It broke the deadlock and put Kingwood on top, 6-5.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Kingwood field general Barry Bowman.

Kingwood is now 67-74, while Bel Air is 56-84.
