The Boise Bloodhounds and Eugene Emeralds obliged those fans who came to Grand Canyon Valley Park hoping for an exciting game.

The Boise Bloodhounds picked up a win at Grand Canyon Valley Park, knocking off the Eugene Emeralds, 6-5. Starting pitcher Frank Clark was an essential part of his team's success. Clark got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Clark allowed 1 earned run.

Boise shortstop Mal McClinton helped the Bloodhounds to the win. In the bottom of the third inning, the 20-year old shortstop stroked a run-scoring single. For the game, McClinton was 1 for 4.

"It wasn't our best performance," said McClinton, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

The Bloodhounds now have a record of 39-100 with the win over Eugene.
