Dancin' Outlaws Best River Chiefs in Pitching Duel

Pitcher Yasukatsu Yonemura was sensational for the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Chippewa River Chiefs. Yonemura received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Yonemura picked up the win for West Virginia, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-2. Ji-hwan Yea nailed down his 5th save.
There were several reasons the Dancin' Outlaws beat the River Chiefs, but one factor was Rafael Márquez. In the top of the seventh, the West Virginia catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Runs were at a premium," said West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez.
