Bush Wackers Squelch Vikings Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Brisbane and Victoria, pitcher James Stevens was excellent. The Brisbane right-hander was named the player of the game in Brisbane's 3-0 win. The winning pitcher was Stevens, now 13-5. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Mudasser Sabzvari was called on to finish, recording his 15th save.
Matt Rank delivered for Brisbane in the top of the second. His solo home run off Victoria pitcher Eric Stark put Brisbane in front, 1-0.
"James did a tremendous job," said Brisbane manager Pete Barrett.
Brisbane has now won 3 in a row.
