In a close game at Envoys Ballpark, the Palm Beach Bums edged the Eugene Emeralds, 4-3. Palm Beach center fielder Alonso Rodríguez earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Alex Antunez, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.1 innings. Palm Beach is now 58-81. Bartolo Muñíz, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Joaquín Salas for a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put Palm Beach in front, 4-2.
