Princes Best Dancin' Outlaws in Pitching Duel
|
In a tight game between the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and the Bel Air Princes, nobody was more important for the winners than John Farley. Farley, who received player of the game accolades for the Princes, was masterful in the 2-1 win. Bel Air reliever Quiang Tu picked up the win, upping his record to 7-4. Francisco Palazuelos was saddled with the loss. Bel Air is now 54-81, West Virginia 71-66.
Making an impact for Bel Air was designated hitter J.P. Turner. He drilled a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Turner went 1 for 4 with a double.
"I was a little disappointed," said West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
