The Palm Beach Bums and Eugene Emeralds brought some excitement to Envoys Ballpark.

Palm Beach catcher Bartolo Muñíz had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-4, to Eugene at Envoys Ballpark. Muñíz was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chris Connel picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Hitoshi Miyahira was tagged with the loss.

Vinnie Errichiello made an early impact for Eugene when he stroked his 95th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which came with no one out in the top of the third, put the Emeralds on top, 2-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Errichiello. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Eugene now sits in 5th place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division at 62-74.
