Cyclones Losing Streak at 6 After Extra-Inning Loss to Jedi Knights
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights downed the Coney Island Cyclones, 4-3, in 10 innings. Jacob Runk led the way, going 2-for-3 for New Orleans. Reliever José Martínez picked up the win. His record improves to 7-0. Roger Montgomery took the loss. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Coney Island.
In the bottom of the tenth, New Orleans second baseman Justin Ray had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Coney Island hurler Steve Misiak, Ray reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. That made the score 4-3, New Orleans. For the day, Ray did the little things right to help the team.
"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Coney Island manager Gerald Pugh. "You need to let the game come to you."
