The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dario Reyes, who stifled the Bel Air offense en route to a 2-1 Bush Wackers win at Baylor Ballpark. The winner was Brisbane reliever Félix Ruíz, now 3-2. The loser was Lee Krause. Brisbane leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 2½ games.
A defensive miscue in the bottom of the fourth cost the Princes. With Brisbane trailing 1-0, Young-myung Hyong reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. Brisbane ended up winning the ballgame.
"I like what I saw today," said Brisbane manager Pete Barrett, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
