Dancin' Outlaws Prevail, 3-1, Over Tree City
|
In a low-scoring affair between the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws and the Tree City Black Squirrels, pitcher Raúl Molina was the difference between victory and defeat. The West Virginia left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 Dancin' Outlaws win. Yuko Kinoshita closed the game out for West Virginia, earning his 30th save. The Dancin' Outlaws raised their record to 71-65.
The Dancin' Outlaws took the lead, 2-1, in the top of the sixth. Molina had the clutch at-bat. With no one out and a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said West Virginia skipper Enrique Ramírez.
