Behind a solid performance from third baseman Gabe Jones, the Houston Sting defeated the Palm Beach Bums, 11-5. Jones belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Sting. Houston now sits in 4th place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division at 67-68.
Flexing his muscles for Houston was the aforementioned Jones. The third baseman had a grand slam home run in the top of the first for the Sting. It put his team ahead, 4-0, and sent them on to victory.
