Islanders Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Starting pitcher Allen Cox pitched well enough to help the Hawaii Islanders beat the New York Mafia by the score of 6-3. Winston Boer recorded his 17th save for Hawaii. The Islanders have now won 4 straight.
Going deep for Hawaii was Matt Clark. The catcher had a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning for the Islanders. It put his team ahead, 3-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Clark went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Islanders manager Leland Ray, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
