The Palm Beach Bums did just enough to sneak past the Boise Bloodhounds, 3-2, at Envoys Ballpark. Palm Beach pitcher Lee Alford earned player of the game honors. The 5th-place Bums raised their record to 57-79.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Palm Beach catcher Angelo Arcila hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Boise manager Nick Brown said following the tough loss.
