It was a fun time at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards, where the South Carolina Bombers and Vancouver Pioneers tangled.

Vancouver starter Alejandro García put a stranglehold on the South Carolina offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Pioneers to a 5-1 win. García, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.

Dan Rollins dealt the Bombers a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Vancouver leading 2-1, Rollins hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Rollins.

Vancouver now sits in third place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 34-28.
