Tree City Black Squirrels starter Jun Zhou was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the San Angelo Mustangs, 4-2. Cory Kieck closed the door for Tree City, picking up his 34th save of the year. The first-place Black Squirrels, at 84-46, now lead their division by 8 games.

Rintaro Kogawa made it 3-2, Tree City, in the top of the eighth when he hit a run-scoring single. It was a big at-bat in the Black Squirrels win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Zhou told the Tree City Daily. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
