Great Day for Runk in Jedi Knights Win
The New Orleans Jedi Knights thumped the Eugene Emeralds, 8-1, at The Republic. Jacob Runk was a big reason his team got the win. Runk went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Jesús Espinosa, who threw 86 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 4 hits. Hang-yu Pak picked up the save for New Orleans, his 2nd of the year.

Runk brought the fans to their feet in the bottom of the fourth, when the 20-year old left fielder ripped a 3-run home run. The round-tripper put New Orleans ahead, 3-0.

Said losing manager Tom Becker: "Give the Jedi Knights credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
