Blue Claws Walk It Off for 79th Win of Season
|
John Ketchum was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Baltimore and Brisbane. The Blue Claws left-hander was named the player of the game in Baltimore's 1-0 win. Baltimore reliever Shu-de Tian picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-4. Esteban Montes was collared with the loss. The second-place Blue Claws improved to 79-50.
Kaoru Katsumata, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Esteban Montes for a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season put Baltimore in front, 1-0.
"This game tested our mettle," said Ketchum.
