Emeralds Topple Jedi Knights as Fosbrink Shines
The Eugene Emeralds defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 8-3, at The Republic today. Leading the charge for Eugene was first baseman Jeff Fosbrink. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Emeralds move to 57-71 with the win, while the Jedi Knights drop to 76-51.

Vinnie Errichiello had a nice at-bat for the Emeralds with one out in the top of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, the second baseman hit a 2-run single, which would prove important in the Eugene win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Errichiello said after the game.
