Dancin' Outlaws Win Again, Streak Now at 12
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws got a strong performance from pitcher Mike Wolcott, who stymied the Charleston offense en route to a 4-2 win at Franklin Mountains Field. Wolcott, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. This win makes it 12 in a row for West Virginia.
Jesus Escamilla gave West Virginia a good at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple to help send West Virginia to the win.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez.
