Jedi Knights Come Back Late, Nip Mustangs
|
New Orleans right-hander Fred Antoine helped his team edge San Angelo by the score of 3-2. Antoine kept the opposing lineup in check. At 76-49, the Jedi Knights are currently second in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division.
New Orleans took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, catcher Jonathan Padilla hit a 2-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.
"We were in it," said San Angelo manager Clyde Bowman. "We just didn't score enough runs."
