Vikings Keep Streak Alive With 6-3 Win
|
The Victoria Vikings picked up a win at The Barn, knocking off the Winfield Warriors, 6-3. Starting pitcher Kevin Murphy played a key role in the triumph. Murphy, the winner, moves to 10-5. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. The winning continues for Victoria, with the latest making it 12 straight.
In the top of the first, Will Otis had a big solo home run off Willard Stady. With the home run, the Victoria third baseman put his team in front, 1-0. He went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs in the contest.
