Princes Stymie Bethesda, Take 6-1 Win
|
Bel Air pitcher Jose Arguinzoni did his part in helping his team beat the Bethesda Hornets, 6-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Arguinzoni, now 3-2. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3. The win puts the Princes at 49-73, while the Hornets drop to 62-63.
The Princes beat the Hornets with some clutch hitting. The single by Ryan LeMaster in the top of the fourth is a good example. With two down, LeMaster gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Arguinzoni. "Just do my job."
