Javier Polanco never let Barrow get something going. The Palm Beach left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Bums to a 4-1 win. Ryan Wise closed the door for Palm Beach, picking up his 9th save of the year. The Bums improve their record to 51-74 with the win over Barrow.
The Bums got a big at-bat from catcher Bartolo Muñíz. For the game, Muñíz went 1-4. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 61st hit of the season gave Palm Beach a 2-1 lead.
"Good win for us," said Polanco. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
