Toreros Lose to Pioneers, 4-1
|
Vancouver Pioneers starter Marcus Clifton was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 4-1. With the win, Vancouver pushes its record to 3-4.
Ron Verity delivered a big hit for the Pioneers. The veteran third baseman belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. The longball put Vancouver on top, 3-0. Overall, Verity went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Verity.
