The Boise Bloodhounds picked up a win at The Republic, knocking off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 4-2. On the mound for Boise was right-hander Vito Herrera, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pat Meskill picked up the save, his 9th. Even with the win, the Bloodhounds have a dismal 32-90 record.
Boise center fielder Jorge Perez gave his club a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Bloodhounds leading 1-0, Perez hit a 2-run double.
"I like what I saw today," said Boise manager Nick Brown, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
