Road Warriors Lose Late, 2-0
|
The Tree City Black Squirrels got a magnificent effort from pitcher Ryan Davis, who kept Westside hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Black Squirrels win at The Nut House. Cory Kieck sewed up the save, his 30th. The Black Squirrels own a robust 78-44 mark.
An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Rintaro Kogawa, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Tree City, and helped them go on to win.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Davis said.
