|
Portland had no answer for San Diego Hops hurler Salah bin Atif, who overwhelmed Beavers hitters as the Hops coasted to a 6-1 victory. The 4th-place Hops lifted their record to 28-34.
bin Atif, who leaned on his change up, allowed 1 run on just 3 hits over 9 innings for the Hops. For the most part, Portland hitters were simply overmatched.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," bin Atif told reporters after the game.
