Warriors Get One-Run Win at Boise
Fans who came to Grand Canyon Valley Park watched the Winfield Warriors and the Boise Bloodhounds fight to the finish.

The Winfield Warriors eked out a 5-4 win versus the Boise Bloodhounds at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Nobody did more than center fielder Manuel Medine, who captured player of the game honors. Danny Reliford got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1.

Medine contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Winfield get the win.

"Both teams played hard," said Winfield manager Eric Stone.

The win puts the Warriors at 61-59, while the Bloodhounds drop to 30-90.
