Hornets Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Road Warriors

The Hornets had to overcome a fine performance from Westside pitcher Cole Moore to grab a 3-2 win at Road Warriors Field. Moore allowed 2 earned runs over 5 innings. Bethesda reliever Gabriel Martínez was the winner. His record is now 7-14. António Torres took the loss. After today's action, Bethesda sits at 60-62, while Westside falls to 71-49.
Andrés Morales made it 3-2, Bethesda, in the top of the eighth when he hit a run-scoring single. It was a big at-bat in the Hornets win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Westside skipper Wilfred Brooks.
