Aces Stumble, Lose to Stogies

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Havana Stogies and starting pitcher Felipe Arreola stifled the Columbus offense en route to a comfortable 8-0 win at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Arreola, now 9-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs.
The Havana win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Arturo Velásquez. In the top of the third, the Havana catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Chris Schell.
Havana has a 3-game win streak, while Columbus has lost 3 in a row.
