Streaking Bush Wackers Win Another One
|
The Barrow Frosties got a superb performance from first baseman Ricardo Rivadeneyra. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Brisbane. The Bush Wackers won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Rivadeneyra was named the player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Bush Wackers have won 9 in a row.
Making an impact for Brisbane was catcher David Newsome. He drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the first. For the game, Newsome went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Bush Wackers manager Pete Barrett.
